The Role. As our Corporate Accountant you will contribute to the success of the organization by performing the daily financial reporting activities for the management company.
The Key Responsibilities
Maintain all aspects of accounting responsibility for the management company:
Preparation and distribution of monthly financial information in accordance with management requirements
Analysis of Monthly financial statements
Monthly bank reconciliations
Initiate miscellaneous deposits, wires and required monthly payments
Resolution of problems and issues as needed
Research problems as required
Communicate with management as necessary
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls
Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed
Perform comprehensive pre-manager review and analysis of monthly financial statement packages
Identify and implement process improvements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Excellent knowledge of accounting software, Excel macros and pivot tables
Effective organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to multitask efficiently
High degree of responsibility and initiative and desire to advance beyond this position
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates and owner contacts
Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work a schedule that may include hours other than 8-5 Monday through Friday, including overtime, depending on business needs
Knowledge of or ability to learn property management accounting processes, including use of any industry specific software
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems
