As the Treasury Manager you will be responsible for corporate cash management, developing a monthly cash plan, and analyzing the performance of the properties in relation to cash flow. You will manage day-to-day activities in the treasury department to meet the financial obligations of the organization. In addition, you will ensure all policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. You will manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that projects and department milestones/goals are met and adhering to the objectives of the company.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Perform cash positioning, monitor and forecast inflows and outflows of cash, and develop cash management strategy as necessary.
Develop short and long-term cash management objectives and processes to facilitate achieving Corporate and Property objectives.
Promotes and maintains relationships, services and favorable pricing structures with banks and other financial institutions.
Review the analysis statements monthly and provide passthrough fee schedule to Accounting for billing.
Assist in the onboarding of new properties from a Treasury Department perspective.
Administrate and support all banking, accounts receivable and other relevant Treasury systems.
Works with IT and other Finance staff to develop appropriate systems and reporting for the Treasury Department.
Works with Operations to identify cash needs of the properties and training needs of the staff.
Review and maintain compliance with state by state banking requirements according to the Department of Real Estate and assist in audits as necessary.
Work with Accounting to maintain a streamlined process of communication and support.
Lead cross-functional communication with all areas of the business that are impacted by treasury related functions.
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments’ goals and objectives.
Staff development through direct leadership and communication.
Assist with all other treasury related functions, including policies and procedures, special projects or other tasks as necessary.
Conduct day to day treasury functions and transactional operations of the department.
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
General knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
Experience in preparing and analyzing cash flow forecasts.
Experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new processes, services, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong cross-functional and interpersonal relationship building skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop staff.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
5-7+ years corporate treasury management experience.
Property Management industry knowledge a plus.
