Job Summary:Supports the strategic and daily management of the financial performance and operation of utility through data mining General Ledger and various databases, manipulating and analyzing big data , creating KPI and compliance reporting, interpreting trends, forecasts, and financial results, and developing recommendations for optimum financial performance.
Compiles and analyzes data from orders, contracts, invoices, vendor reports, and general ledger SQL databases to create spend analysis detailing spending trends (from high level roll-up down to SKU level), for performance and compliance reporting for property-level and corporate decisions.
Maintains the successful implementation of database administration, comprehensive programs, initiatives, and strategies related to tracking company-wide spend data.
Prepares and reviews budget, revenue, expense, invoices, and other accounting documents and researches and resolves discrepancies as necessary.
Maintains relationships with industry vendors and meets with Owners and Senior Leadership to provide recommendations and knowledge on products and services.
Completes various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related area
1-5 years of spend analysis and/or similar data-mining work experience; including extracting data from multiple platforms and manipulating the data into a single database.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills; including vlookups, slicers, and pivot tables. Macros are a plus!

Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an accounting and financial background sufficient to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in accordance with accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles.
A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the application and usage of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
