The Human Resources Business Partner will work collaboratively with the Regional HR Manager to provide HR support to the assigned regions within the organization.Â Â
Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries from managers and team members on a variety of HR related topics, policies and procedures
Provides day to day performance management guidance to managers, to include coaching, corrective action, career development, etc.Â Review and approve written corrective action documents
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
Assists in conducting or leading investigations as needed related to specific issues initiated from the ethics report line and other contacts within Human Resources. Takes the prescribed steps of action to escalate complex issues to the Director of Human Resources.
Manages the leave of absence program for the assigned region.
Manage unemployment claims process for the assigned region in coordination with the unemployment claims management vendor.
Conduct various recruiting activities such as phone screens, resume review and job postings.
Generate and distribute HR reports
Leads the onboarding activities for new property acquisitions
Assists in managing the annual performance evaluation process for the region
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in measureable efficiencies of the Human Resources department and services performed.
Provide direction as needed to the HR Coordinator(s)
Perform other duties and assignments as needed.

REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities):
Strong understanding of human resources policies, procedures and benefits administration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ultipro or like/similar HRIS system experience is required
Thorough knowledge of applicable laws (ADA, Federal and State Leave laws, ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, DOL, PPACA, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Undergraduate degree (Business, Human Resources or related field) education or equivalent preferred.Â PHR/SPHR certification is highly desirable.
3+ years of Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of equivalent experience
