Manage US payroll processing including earnings, taxes, benefit deductions and garnishments.
Supervise a Payroll Coordinator in the processing of all payroll responsibilities including, but not limited to bi-weekly payroll, monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus payouts.
Ensure the Company s payroll processes are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Reconcile biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll taxes.
Drive continuous improvements to processes, service delivery and technology.
Partner effectively with HR, IT, Finance and other functions to ensure appropriate flow of data and reporting.
Responsible for writing, administering and enforcing compensation policies and procedures.
Conduct cost analysis and present proposed salary increases.
Manage the HR/Payroll Department annual budget including creation, approval process, reforecasts, and accounting.
Be a strong contributor to the development of new compensation strategies through creative input combined with data analysis and a deep understanding of the Company s future challenges (bonus plans, market position, salary range design, pay mix analysis)
Develop effective and compelling compensation and benefit communication strategies, tools and processes
Lead various payroll related initiatives from planning through execution.
Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure satisfaction of requirements.
Maintain payroll guidelines by ensuring policies and procedures are documented in a timely basis.
Review, update, and create employee communications with respect to payroll and time & attendance topics.
Manage outsourced vendors to ensure compliance with processes, requirements and laws and service expectations. Reside as the Subject Matter Expert for existing and new legislation governing payroll requirements.
What Do You Need to Have?
Workday Payroll experience required.
BS/BA in human resources, finance, or business preferred.
Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
Proven success in leading projects.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, excel spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to create and complete required reports.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
Ability to collaborate, consult and partner with all levels and work well in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal communications (verbal and written).
Strong working knowledge of applicable US federal, state and local rules and laws.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; strong knowledge of data privacy and cyber security.
