Job DescriptionThe Portfolio Management Analyst supports the execution and the implementation of the Company s strategies and programs that drive the financial and operational performance of the fund by gathering and analyzing market, property, and portfolio data, identifying opportunities for improving and/or operational performance, managing programs that promote revenue or client satisfaction enhancement, and performing analytical, program management, or other tasks that support the daily operation of the fund.
Maintains and updates fund-level models used to revalue current portfolio and produce fund-level return metrics.
Helps design and prepare materials and deliverables for presentation to internal committees, outside institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
Monitors and reports on financial and operational performance of all fund or vehicle assets. Identifies, designs, and implements asset-level operational improvements.
Conducts financial analysis of investment opportunities, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models. Gathers, compiles, investigates, and analyzes market data to identify potential investment opportunities, and prepares narrative investment memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions.
Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
EducationCollege degree in business, finance, or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.QualificationsDemonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to develop, comprehend, and complete legal, financial, human resources, and other business documents and to provide updates and reports to owners and key business leaders.
Expert-level proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint in order to complete, design, and develop required reports and documents.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills in order to establish, cultivate, and maintain productive relationships with brokers, institutional and equity partners, owners, lenders, and the variety of potential clients with whom Greystar does business.
Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills in order to effectively track, report, and manage multiple projects and priorities where meeting deadlines is critical.
General understanding of the real estate industry, in particular multi-family housing and third-party management, in order to relate financial and operating analyses to practical business solutions and process improvements.
