We are expanding our team by adding a Regional Vice President to our current team of portfolio managers. As a Regional Vice President with 1st Lake Properties, you will manage a portfolio of conventional apartment communities with a thorough understanding of the competitive market and of 1st Lake’s high standards for customer service.
The Regional Vice President is responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the portfolio with an emphasis on resident and community relations, and is expected to determine overall strengths and weaknesses of each community in the portfolio while working closely with property managers to implement best practices for achieving property and company level goals.
As a Regional Vice President, you will:
Create and execute new initiatives and programs to favorably position the properties.
Develop actions plans to achieve optimal business results.
Identify, implement and follow up on any corrective actions plans put into place for deficiencies found at properties.
Implement a competitive marketing strategy.
Build a cohesive team.
Train, teach and develop future leaders within our company.
Motivate leasing and maintenance teams to achieve their goals while giving them the tools and strategies needed to succeed.
Collaborate with management team to implement successful resident retention efforts.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure all properties are operating efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures
Make certain all reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
The most important skills and abilities you can bring to this position:
7+ years of regional or multiple site management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of progressive experience in the multifamily industry.
The ability to relocate to the New Orleans, La area.
Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
Experience with Rainmaker LRO, AMSI and Entrata preferred.
CAPS, CAM or CPM preferred.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of property management operations, budget analysis and management, marketing, leasing, resident relations and maintenance, with a proven track record of managing a diverse portfolio of conventional apartment communities.
