Camden s Ancillary Services group generates ancillary income (any revenue opportunities beyond rental revenue) and provides supplemental services to residents through partnerships with national vendors. The Ancillary Services Manager will work on high-profile initiatives, such as: Camden s technology package offering, valet living and energy rebate programs.
The Ancillary Services Manager must have strong business acumen, possess analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrate highly effective communication skills, and have exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills. This position interacts with external customers as well as internal customers.
Identify, evaluate, implement and support new programs and products nationwide. Serve as liaison between Business Services, Operations, Marketing, Accounting, Construction, IT, vendors, and other Camden departments as necessary
Screen facts, diagnose causes, weigh alternatives, evaluate solutions and use sound judgment in making objective and timely decisions
Review and reconcile monthly ancillary services reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
Review existing programs for additional opportunities and participate in planning sessions with business partners
Develop and execute marketing plans for existing and new programs
Assist in negotiations and review of contracts
Prepare financial analysis of potential ancillary programs, including ROI analysis and reporting
Bachelor s Degree in Finance, Economics or Marketing required. MBA preferred
Strong understanding of the property management industry
General knowledge of telecommunication products, services, issues, and regulations
Basic technical knowledge and ability to effectively communicate plans and ideas
Ability to assess situations and solutions with a global thought process, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills
Project management, data gathering, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills
Must have exceptional presentation skills and experience with public speaking
Proficient with Microsoft Office

Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i. e., climb stairs) to tour, show, and inspect apartments on a daily basis
Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
Must have normal range of vision to complete applications, leases, general paperwork and handle computerized bookkeeping duties; hearing and speech to communicate with residents, vendors, supervisors and coworkers on the telephone or in person on a regular basis
Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
Works in a typical office setting with daily exposure to outdoor environment (i.e., heat, cold, damp, rain, etc.) when touring community
Hazards can be avoided with proper lifting techniques, SDS and general safety training
Will be regularly called upon to work long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips
Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
