The Senior Analyst will lead underwriting and support asset management activities for our existing properties and growing portfolio in Sao Paulo. Assist with sourcing investment opportunities in target markets / that coincide with Greystar's objectives; maintain pipeline of opportunities; formulate investment rationale.
Lead the underwriting process for potential investments (analytics, due diligence, market research, pro forma modeling, investment committee memos/presentations, deal structuring and closing management).
Organize and maintain new deals and due diligence filing systems (knowledge management).
Assist with the asset management function for existing portfolio (investor reporting, budgeting, hold/sell analysis, evaluate major capital projects, management of leasing transactions, etc).
Conduct research on competitors, properties, markets (sales comps, rents, real estate taxes, and other information to underwrite projects); tour competitive properties (secret shopper).
Abstract loan documents, project documents, fund documents, service contracts, etc.
Review project status reports and site visit reports; follow up with partners on issues.
Review monthly construction draw requests and monitor construction progress as needed.
Assist in collecting invoiced fees and reimbursements.
Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested and provide output in clear and concise manner.
1. Bachelor's degree required in engineering, finance, economics or other relevant major.
2. 2+ years of relevant experience.
3. Extreme organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
4. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
5. Portuguese and English language proficiency in writing and speaking.
