The Community Manager will have the ability to not only self-motivate but to also motivate team members to deliver the superior level of service defined by Borger Management Inc.
The Community Manager is responsible for assisting the property manager in maintaining the physical asset and maximizing the financial returns from that asset in accordance with the company’s objectives.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Ensure staff compliance with all Fair Housing Credit Reporting Requirements, as well as company policies.
Work with leasing staff to create successful marketing and resident retention plans.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Assist the property manager in maintaining the property and maximizing the financial returns for the property.
Effectively monitor all income, including delinquencies.
Create staffing schedules and ensure that the residents’ needs are met.
Communicate effectively with owners, residents, and on-site associates and vendors.
Evaluate and recommend changes on rent/pricing strategies and ensure websites and printed material are accurate and updated.
Assist and ensure all customer complaints are handled promptly and appropriately.
Supervise the maintenance staff and perform a quality inspection to ensure that the property is being well-maintained,
Oversee the completion of work order requests, ensuring that they are completed accurately and timely and that vacant apartments are made ready by deadlines according to specifications.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in residential management
MRI or BlueMoon experience is preferred.
Ability to read a budget and assist with the financial reporting for the property
Strong verbal and written abilities.
Proficiency with MS Office
Excellent customer service skills
Prior affordable housing experience preferred
