A Day in the Life of a Property/Compliance Auditor:
As a Lincoln Military Housing Property/Compliance Auditor, you will support our mission by strengthening operational efficiency and compliance through audit activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting routine property audits, policy review, SOP management, ad hoc process audits, and providing coaching and guidance to team members across a diverse portfolio of military housing communities. You will perform detailed reviews of property operations, including lease file management, expense tracking, accounting month end procedures, make ready, work order management, customer service, environmental/safety procedures, and petty cash/purchase cards/expense reports. You will quickly become a policy manual subject matter expert and provide both in person and remote coaching to team members throughout the country. The position may require frequent travel. Your role requires accuracy, effective customer service, the ability to work efficiently and effectively and deliver on our mission of providing exemplary service in accordance with Lincoln Military Housing's quality customer satisfaction standards.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Apply high attention to detail to conduct audits of all aspects of property management. Conduct in person coaching and offer actionable feedback based on property-specific findings.
Coordinate with supervisor to determine audit scopes and time-lines.
Develop clear and complete reports to communicate audit procedures and findings.
Collaborate with site teams, operational leadership, and various internal departments to track and resolve audit exceptions.
Continually examine and evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies, offering practical recommendations for future enhancements.
Lead or facilitate meetings with senior staff to discuss audit finding trends.
Assist in performing a variety of ad hoc projects, including remote desk audits, company-wide process reviews, and annual SOP updates and training.
Handle company policy questions and provide timely, accurate responses.

What You Need for Success:
Property management and audit experience preferred.
Yardi experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, Gmail and Google Docs.
Strong attention to detail.
Solid time management, organization, and planning skills.
Experience employing good judgment and discretion with confidential information.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Adaptability to an ever-changing environment; flexibility to assume new responsibilities as they arise.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
Ability to travel to other regional locations for audits, training, and meetings.
