Human resources information systems (HRIS) coordinator performs data entry and maintenance for their company's human resources department. The HRIS coordinator is responsible for ensuring data quality and creating reports and dashboards for internal clients. The incumbent resolves system issues and provides guidance to end users. The role is involved in improving the system through eliciting requirements, creating and running test scripts, and assisting in the implementation of new solutions as required.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains data quality of HRIS, including proper data security, by performing regular data audits and resolving any data integrity issues.
Collects HR data, translating data into appropriate metrics. Prepares reports and participates in the design of HR dashboards. Responds to ad hoc data and report requests.
Acts as a first point of contact for user guidance and advice. Responds to queries and issues related to supported systems, analyzing the issue to identify the root cause. Solves the issue directly or works with appropriate SMEs/vendors for issue resolution.
Participates in defining system requirements and testing and deploying solutions. Ensures there is a match between solutions and organizational system needs.
Provides user support through documentation, developing and facilitating training, and creating supporting materials.
Reviews and analyzes system functionality and provides recommendations for improvements, documenting any implemented changes. Remains up to date on product developments.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with an HRIS or other business system.
Strong oral and written communication
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality related to employee records and information
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Positive demeanor; great teamwork skills
Willing to take on additional task/projects as needed
