The Communications team at Greystar is a fast-paced, energetic group that serves as the voice of the Greystar brand and supporting various business groups within the organization. We drive communication and marketing efforts across Greystar internal and external platforms including owned, paid, and social channels.
We're looking for an effective communicator to join the team with strong writing skills, a curious mindset, and an interest in using strategic communications to build the Greystar brand. The Communications Strategist will primarily support efforts for Messaging and Internal Communications but will contribute across the team as well. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be able to jump in and support the team in three core areas:
Messaging. Working across the organization to assist in the development of unified talking points and communications for Greystar while also creating messaging for key topic areas relevant to our business
Internal Communications.Be a key player in promoting our internal communications efforts by continually learning what Greystar is doing across our three core businesses and imagining, designing, and building ways to share what you learn with our key/target audiences.
Copywriting and editing.Support the team with copywriting, editing, and other communications needs on a project-by-project basis
The ideal candidate will:

Play an important role in fostering relationships within the organization to identify opportunities for the team
Specific Responsibilities Include
Write talking points and longer-form messaging for executives and the organization - sometimes based on what you know, and other times based on brainstorms and workshops
Prepare first drafts of communications and assist the entire team in proofreading and editing various communications and materials.
Partner with our in-house agency, external communications team, and internal communications team to drive a consistent voice
Gather ideas and opportunities and strategically selecting what to elevate based on the company's goals, messaging, and other key factors
Build high-quality written, graphic, and video content drawing from various internal teams across the company that promotes the Greystar brand
Track and maintain a catalog of ideas, concepts, and opportunities, and maintaining a creative calendar
Background in producing and distributing content across a variety of mediums and channels
Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of individuals and teams
Ability to communicate complex topics to sophisticated audience in traditional and creative formats
Familiarity with communications planning and best practices in internal communication
A track record of getting things done by recognizing barriers and the ways around them
A self-starter who is team-oriented, super-organized, and has a good sense of humor
3+ years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of digital marketing strategies (SEO, email marketing, etc.)
Strong writing and editing skills

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.
