This position requires an individual who possesses superior organizational skills to perform multi-faceted accounting and administrative duties and is a team player. The payables specialist will be primarily responsible for handling all Construction Management project related invoice processing as well as supporting the Construction Management team with Vendor Credentialling compliance for the assigned region This position is also responsible for assisting with invoice auditing and collection as well as month- and year- end accrual reporting.
Keys Tasks & Responsibilities:
Ensure all vendors are Approved in Real Page Vendor Compliance, contacting those who are not for compliance.
Process all project payables accurately within 24 hrs. of receipt using Yardi Residential and Yardi Job Cost
Maintain a filing system for all payables, following the standard SOPs outlined in the CM Standard Operating Procedures library
Prepares monthly payables accruals and submits these to the property manager and Property Accountant as needed
Complete monthly and annual invoice audits to ensure accuracy and financial project completion
Manage the financial health of each project, providing notice when a project is overbudget or needs funding.
Provide CM-related documentation for funding and draw requests
Assist with other special requests and projects as needed.
Work with the Property Accountant and Regional Property Manager to ensure timely processing of invoices
Skills & experience required:
The successful candidate will possess:
Multifamily Management - minimum 2 years' experience in Multifamily management and accounts Payable.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills;
Proficient in Yardi, MS Office Suite, Adobe
Highly attentive to detail;
Excellent inter-personal skills, energetic, flexible, and positive team player.
Be self-motivated, diplomatic, and able to work independently.
Ability to prioritize time sensitive and, at times, heavy workload.
Flexibility to meet tight deadlines, requiring additional hours as necessary.
Experience in Yardi is preferred
Knowledge of multifamily management industry preferred
