As we deepen our focus on sustainability, environmental, and climatological risks, we're seeking an experienced Climate Risk Analyst to support our Mastercard account.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Risk Analysis using High-Resolution Climate Data: Utilize third-party climate software (such as Jupiter Intelligence) and publicly available climate datasets to assess and analyze climate-related risks and vulnerabilities for Mastercardâ™s assets. This will include modeling potential future scenarios, running simulations, and interpreting outputs.
2. Data Interpretation and Reporting:Â Extract, clean, and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights into reducing risks through innovative climate resilience projects. Present findings in clear, concise reports tailored to the needs of stakeholders.
3. Strategy Development:Â Collaborate with both internal teams and Mastercard stakeholders to develop proactive strategies to mitigate and adapt to identified climate risks.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:Â Act as a liaison between Mastercard and Cushman & Wakefield for climate risk-related matters. Engage in regular communication, presenting findings and offering recommendations.
5. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in climate risk assessments, particularly as they pertain to the real estate sector, and adjust strategies and methodologies accordingly. Monitor trends regarding climate risk regulations, such as TCFD, the SEC Climate Rule, and CSRD.
6. Collaboration:Â Work closely with other teams within Cushman & Wakefield, including sustainability, asset management, and facility management, to ensure an integrated approach to climate risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorâ™s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Geography, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience working with Jupiter Intelligence or similar climate risk assessment software.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and visualization skills.
- Proficiency in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) is an advantage. Geodatabase creation and management skills are also appreciated.Â
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
