Job Description Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of the Global Revenue Center of Excellence (CoE) within Global Controllership. In this position you will drive an accurate and timely accounting close process. You will work closely with the Operations and Finance departments to identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiencies through automation and enhanced workflows while ensuring strong internal controls. Reporting to our Global CoE Director, this role will be responsible for supporting working capital accounting process improvement initiatives, accounting and reporting of revenue recognition for our transactional service lines and enhancement of our global CoE service model. This role will have the unique opportunity to work cross functionally with business operations, FP&A, intelligent automation, controllership and auditors while influencing the development of a common platform within a Global functional organization undergoing transformation.

Skills / Abilities:
- Execute the quarterly and annual accounting processes
- Accounting technical skills to assess revenue recognition and determine impact to the Companyâ™s results
- Strong analytical skills to prepare and lead monthly revenue reviews, including investigating actual results and working with FP&A and Accounting teams to identify budget variances
- Process improvement skills to develop and implement business process improvement initiatives around month-end close, accounting processes and procedures, and financial analysis
- Prior experience auditing or applying ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts in practice
- Ability to operate under challenging time constraints, and the ability to address multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Attention to detail is a critical factor for success in this role
- Ability to communicate complex financial events in layman terms, in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial systems such as: Workday, Salesforce Engage, HFM, SAP, Essbase, or others desirable but not essential.
- Ability to use analytical or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau) is preferred but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related applications.
Experience:
- 3-5 years broad based and progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Bachelorâ™s in accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA preferred
- Strong ASC 606 revenue recognition experience and proficiency required
- Experience with finance systems (e.g. Workday / Salesforce desirable but not essential)
- Experience in execution of SOX controls
- Experience being part of a Global CoE or highly matrixed global organization a plus
- Knowledge of the Real Estate Industry including a familiarity with leasing documents, commission agreements and broker contracts a plus
- Strong written, comprehension and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret contract terms
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a high volume, dynamic, deadline driven environment while maintaining accuracy, coordinating and performing multiple tasks simultaneously

Detailed Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Operations, Controllership, Offshore Shared Services and Intelligent Automation Office (RPA) to improve and standardize Global revenue recognition processes
- Gain strong understanding of revenue recognition processes across service lines, in addition to learning system process flows that impact revenue recognition
- Undertake contractual reviews of transactional service lines to ensure revenue recognized is aligned with supporting documentation, GAAP rules and expectations
- Execution of SOX controls and documentation.
- Assist in preparation, process improvement and automation of period end revenue accruals and balance reconciliations
- Assist in analytical procedures and visualization over revenue recognition, business results, business process enhancements and RPA monitoring.
- Perform month end review of revenue to ensure the P&L is correctly stated for each transactional service line and region
- Ensure compliance with all revenue accounting policies and procedures, drive process and system developments with respect to changes in GAAP and develop improvements and efficiencies as required
- Arbitrate on complex deals and assist in the resolution of disputes with Business Operations
- Assist with preparation of revenue, contract assets and cash flow conversion analysis for presentation to FP&A, Controllership and various other business stakeholders
