We are looking for an experienced surveyor to join our growing Residential team. We act for an impressive range of private and public sector clients providing comprehensive agency advice together with viability assessments, market research and general development advice. We also work collaboratively with our development, planning and commercial agency colleagues on some of the regionâ™s most significant mixed use developments. Advice to clients can cover their role(s) as occupier, owner, holder or user of property assets and typically involves preparing strategies, undertaking feasibility studies/appraisals, developing business cases, whilst also defining and implementing appropriate property solutions ranging from real estate change through to joint venture arrangements and outsourcing models. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter with an appetite to learn. You will be working alongside experienced professionals and have exposure to a broad range of projects. Previous experience in the residential sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
Job Description
Knowledge & Experience:
General practice background for either a corporate, public sector or private practice, ideally within residential development
Rounded experience of general consulting skills
An understanding of business development and client relationship management
Financial awareness
Familiarity with business case purpose and production
Business and report writing of good/very good quality
Understanding of development appraisal and the valuation of property
Knowledge of legislation and case law relevant to role
Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
Some awareness of financial modelling or aptitude to develop modelling skills
High level of numerical reasoning and analytical skills
Comfortable with identifying data requirements and collating appropriate detail into useable formats and reporting outputs
Able to undertake relevant analysis and to provide clear, concise and appropriate outputs to underpin advice to clients
The successful candidate will interact with client representatives, the wider Development and Strategic Advisory and Pubic Sector teams and with a range of Cushman & Wakefield service line staff.
