Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Â· Creation of special events, promotions and marketing programs to enhance the profile of the shopping centre that meet the needs of centreâ™s retailers and the community
Â· Responsible for all aspects of the advertising & media programs including developing a media plan/rationale and market research
Â· Direct the creative development and execution of the centreâ™s branding programs to promote Promenade as a lifestyle shopping destination and community hub
Â· Development of strong local marketing initiatives for the centre to address the specific and unique needs of the community
Â· Liaise with existing and new-to-market retailers to support their business promotions
Â· Work alongside Specialty Leasing Manager to identify partnership opportunities and a visual merchandising strategy for vacancies to add vibrancy to the shopping experience
Â· Responsible for the development and direction of the Guest Services department and personnel
Â· Oversee the implementation, operation and promotion of the centreâ™s gift card program
Â· Support the management and leasing teams in developing materials and tactics to promote Promenade Mall to future retailers
Â· Oversee promotion fund billings, approve invoices, and ensure spending is adhering to budgeted amounts
Â· Prepare monthly marketing reports and budget updates
Â· Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will possess:
Â· A post-secondary education with a minimum 5 years of marketing experience. Retail or shopping centre related experience is preferred.
Â· Advertising experience (digital marketing, social media, PR, traditional media).
Â· Proven working knowledge of social media platforms, internet/web, mobile & associated marketing techniques.
Â· Experience and a good understanding of special events, community relations, media relations
Â· Self-motivated, innovative and able to deal within a fast-paced environment.
Â· Ability to analyze demographics and related research information.
Â· Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
Â· Knowledge of visual merchandising, sales, and retail operations is an asset.
Â· As an integral part of the property management team, interface with all members of the property team and contribute to collective goals, objectives and events.
Â· Ability to work after hours and on weekends for special events intermittently as necessary
Â· Computer literate â“ Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite or other graphics programs
